HTC One X+ Android 4.2.2 passes AT&T technical acceptance testing, roll-out coming later this week

A little more than 24 hours after HTC broke the news that the HTC One X+ would not be updated beyond Android 4.2.2, one of HTC’s product managers has announced on Twitter that the Android 4.2.2 update has been given the all clean from AT&T. With technical acceptance secured, the Android 4.2.2 update for the HTC One X+ should be pushed out over the air to handset later this week.

While Android 4.2.2 may not be as shiny and new as Android 4.4, AT&T HTC One X+ owners will be treated to quite a few new features since the update will incorporate HTC Sense 5. HTC has not released a full list of features which will be accompanied with the Android 4.2.2 update for the HTC One X+, but users should be treated the HTC’s new UI with BlinkFeed, Video Highlights (with 12 themes), new galley, people, music calendar apps along with quick settings and much more.

We should know more once AT&T released the update for the device.
