European HTC One Android 4.4.2 roll-out begins

The HTC One Android 4.4.2 update rolling out to handsets across Europe. The new 308.24 MB 4.19.401.8 build includes all the usual Android 4.4.2 feature (NFC Tap & Pay, cloud printing, Bluetooth profiles) along with minor bug fixes and security enhancements. Since the HTC One in Europe was already running HTC Sense 5.5, the update doesn’t come with very many new features. That being said, the new update does have a few things that are different from the Android 4.4 update that hit the Developer Edition a few months ago: HTC has changed the battery The next big change for the battery icon to white and Flash support has been removed from the stock HTC Browser.

The next major update for the HTC One will probably come later this summer when the handset is updated to the next version of Android with HTC Sense 6. So far, HTC One Android 4.4.2 update has been spotted in Russia, Slovakia, Romania and a few other countries in northern Europe. We expect more countries to come online within the next day or two as the update makes its way across Europe.
