Canadian service providers begin HTC One Android 4.4 rollout

The Android 4.4.2 update for the HTC One in Canada is now available from Rogers, Bell, Virgin, TELUS, SaskTel and WIND. If you have not yet received an update notification on your Canadian, go to Settings > About Phone > Software update > Check now to manually ping the update servers. The update for the HTC One comes less than a week after HTC announced that they had handed over the KitKat build to their Canadian carrier partners. Those who own carrier branded versions of the HTC One may still be waiting for the update, but HTC has done an incredible job at delivering the new software build to handsets across Europe and North America within 90 days.

Owners of the HTC one in Canada will get feature like NFC Tap & Pay, cloud printing, Bluetooth profiles from Android 4.4.2 along with minor bug fixes and security enhancements. But the real improvements are tucked in HTC Sense 5.5 which features enhancements to BlinkFeed, Video Highlights, camera improvements, and keyboard which now includes hundreds of emoji.
