T-Mobile HTC One Android 4.3 update now available

T-Mobile has certified the Android 4.3 update for the HTC One and is now rolling out the update to its customers. Like the AT&T and Sprint updates for the HTC One, the Android 4.3 was originally promised with an end of September release, but T-Mobile’s testing and certification process simply took  took a little longer than HTC expected.

The T-Mobile HTC One is jumping from Android 4.1 to 4.3, delivering launcher bar enhancements, a widget lock screen style, home button behavior modification (remove black menu bar from screen), advanced notifications, ability to display battery level percentage in the notification bar, quick settings, 6 new Video Highlights themes with custom music options, improved Zoe file management and all the under the hood functionality that Google built into its Android 4.2 and 4.3 updates. The update is being pushed out right now, but if you have not yet received the notification of your device, we recommend checking manually by going to Settings  > About > Software updates > Check now  on your T-Mobile HTC One.

    1. Over on another site someone else has the same problem. They unchecked fast boot under the power settings then the download worked. Just an option to try

    2. SOLVED. Install problem solved by resetting phone completely. Backup reinstalled massive data to return my phone to as it was before. Yay.

      1. Awesome. I like it. GPS links a little slower but no big deal. I think it’s the updated app. Other than that everything so fast is good.

  1. Installed flawlessly in Houston. fastboot on, initiated by a manual update check.

I haven’t bothered with rooting or custom roms because I haven’t felt the need to with The One.

  2. I installed it yesterday with no issues. And my fastboot was on as well. So yes, it does work. It just didnt for you.

  3. Installed and now when a text arrives, the picture of that contact disappears in that text and sometimes in the other text messages already received. Pictures in contacts are fine, pictures of contacts next to texts come back after random time, or go into running apps and stop sms and restart…. Anyone else? Battery life bad after initial install but great into second use/charge cycle, fyi.
