The HTC One mini will bend to meet global carriers needs

HTC has proven that it can release a number one ranking flagship smartphone and now the company plans to target the mid-range market with a scaled down version of the HTC One.

The HTC One mini is due to release in next few weeks and today we learned that the One mini has a good chance of coming to a carrier near you. In an attempt to get the HTC One mini in as many hands as possible, HTC is taking a lesson learned with previous handsets; that is to approach carriers with a bit of flexibility allowing the device to have some carrier specific modifications or carrier preferred offerings.

In the past, HTC has experienced great feedback by way of sales with smartphones modified to hold multiple SIM cards, different external color coatings, and several internal storage capacities.

HTC’s President of North Asia, Jack Tong told members of the press that there is an “unspoken agreement” between HTC and mobile carriers that will combine each others interests to release phones in as many mobile networks as possible. Mr. Tong also mentioned the HTC One mini will first arrive in silver, but should have a black version available by mid-September.
