HTC One Max image reveals handset’s true size

Yesterday we got a look at the first two pictures of the HTC One Max which confirmed that HTC’s ultra-large Android phone would feature the same look as the HTC One. Today, a new image has surfaced, showing off the China-bound HTC One Max from the side with a Motorola XT882 on top of it which allows us to get a sense for how big the HTC One Max really is.

Since we know that the Motorola XT882 is 122mm tall, we were able to pull the image into Photoshop and do some quick pixel calculations which give us an approximate HTC One Max height of 155mm. The device appears to be massive when you match up that 155mm approximate height to the HTC One’s 137mm, but things come into perspective when it’s slotted in between the Samsung Galaxy Note II (151.1mm tall with a 5.5-inch display) and the new Sony Xperia Z Ultra (179mm tall with a 6.5-inch display).

The HTC One Max isn’t going to win any prizes for its sleekness, but we certainly won’t be complaining if the device does manage to fit a 5.9-inch display in a chassis which is only 4mm taller than the Samsung Galaxy Note II.

  1. Well the orinal brueprint showed the Max to be 140mm tall with an edge2edge display, just 3mm taller than the One & the recent picture did indeed show an edge2edge display, so your article is a fail…
