MIUI V5 ROM now available for the HTC One

Now that the HTC One has been on the market for a few months, the device is starting to come into its own. Those who enjoy flashing custom software builds like CyanogenMod or other tweaked Sense 5 ROM finally have the option to give MIUI V5 a spin – thanks to AdyScorpius fromXDA-Developers. For those who don’t know, MIUI is a custom Android build with a bit of an iOS complex and tons of customization options. For a closer look at what MIUI has to offer, check out the embedded video below.

Like most custom ROMs, AdyScorpiusMIUI v5 does features a few bugs, but we expect most of them to get ironed out over the next few weeks. To install MIUI V5 on your HTC One, your device will need to have an unlocked bootloader and an custom recovery.

Known AdyScorpiusMIUI v5 bugs

  • NFC maybe, not tested!
  • Bluetooth (similar to CM).
  • Signal strength shown needs to be fixed. RIL is fine otherwise.
  • Xposed Installer isn’t compatible with MIUI because they both make changes at the same location. Avoid using it or you might end up with bootloops.
