HTC One mini versus Samsung Galaxy S4 mini – spec showdown

Not that the HTC One mini has been officially unveiled, we can finally take a closer look at the handset’s specs and compare it to it’s main rival – the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini. Like the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4, the two mini devices share many of the same internal components and are roughly the same size. The HTC One mini’s 720p display easily outclasses the qHD panel Samsung is using with the galaxy S4 mini, but Samsung’s device does come with NFC and an IR blaster – two features which are missing from HTC’s handset.

Since both mini devices resemble their respective flagship counterparts in name and design, they both benefit from the amazing reviews which have been bestowed upon them. If HTC wants the HTC One mini to be a success, it will need to gain support from all major carriers in Europe and the US. What’s your take on the HTC One mini? When compared to the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, does the HTC One mini’s better display make up for the lack of NFC and IR?

  1. Don’t forget that Sense 5 is coded to Jelly Bean whereas Touchwiz’s codes is carried from Gingerbread;hence why S4 is suffering from lags. One would expect the same issue would apply to S4 Mini

  2. It may seem liks the S4 is better! But no, Samsung always purs amazing and lots of features, but when they come they look like a beta version. Although, I think the prize will decide.
