HTC is kicking off a new promotion to help boost sales of the HTC One. Anyone purchasing the HTC One between June 14th and July 15th is eligible to receive a $25 Google Play credit. To take advantage of the promotion, simply purchase the HTC One, register your device and you’ll be emailed a $25 Google Play promo code within 72 hours. Naturally, there are a few rules which accompany the promotion: only one device can be registered per email address and the $25 Google Play credit much be claimed before November 30th, 2013. We’re assuming that last part simply means the promo code will expire by November 30th is you do not apply the $25 balance to your Gmail account.
It’s hard to say if a $25 Google Play credit will help sway customers towards purchasing the HTC One, but it’s definitely a nice perk. While most people think of Google Play as an app store, you can also purchase music, movies and magazines to consume on your Android device of through your favorite browser. If you had $25 to spend on Google Play, what would you buy?
UPDATE: While the terms of the promotion indicate that the devices must be purchased between June 14th and July 15th, we have multiple reports from HTC One owners who purchased their devices back in April who have successfully received the $25 Google Play credit after registering their device. If you own an HTC One which waas purchased before June 14th, we suggest you give it a try.

got two HTC Ones on July 1st and still have not gotten my $25.00 gift card for ether one
I bought my htc one in July and did not receive the coupon until October. Since it cannot be used to purchase hardware, then it’s not a big deal to me.
