HTC One goes through the ultimate torture test

Most of us treat our smartphones with the utmost respect and care. We coddle them with cases, keep them away from our kids and even refuse to let certain friends borrow them for fear that our precious investment will meet its demise due to an accidental drop. You’ve probably seen at least one HTC One drop test on YouTube already, but how do you think the HTC One would fare if it was dropped into water for ten seconds, tossed out of a moving vehicle (twice) and heated up on a grill to 215 degrees?

We won’t ruin the ending for you, but we suggest you watch CNET put the HTC One through the ultimate torture test.

How has your HTC One fared so far? Do you use a case? I’ve dropped mine nearly a dozen times and picked up a few scratches here and there, but I’m extremely satisfied with the build quality of the device. If you’re afraid of damaging your HTC One, there are plenty of HTC One case options available. Personally, I love the looks and feel of the phone so much that I’m willing to risk carrying around a naked device.

    1. How so? The doubt the iPhone 5 of Galaxy S4 would still work after all that. Yeah, there’a bit of body damage, but it’s impressive that the screen wasn’t shattered.

  1. Nick,
I’m an avid phone tech myself, and only timing prevented me from receiving the HTC One as I am on Verizon. Droid DNA has been a dream come true though, and I’d only pick the one over it. Instead of carrying the One naked though, try getting the full body zagg screen deal. I got the front as an hd protector and there is the military grade one on the back. I’ve had this for 6 months and my DNA is unscratched and beautiful as always haha’ also, do you ever look for more writers? I’m fairly educated in the top phones on Verizon, and could give a few tips to others.

  2. I really love my HTC ONE. It has neat design, with a sleek curving back that has a great feel in ny hand.
I like the TV feature a lot, you can have a channel guide on your phone, and control your TV. It really comes in handy. I have run 4 water tests, 2 cold tests, and a drop test from my pocket. (landed on it’s corner, then face) It acted like nothing happened to it. So I’m glad with my HTC one 🙂

Or in other words, a total loser.
