HTC rolling out software update for Sprint HTC One

It’s been less than a month since the Sprint HTC One went on sale, but that’s not stopping Sprint and HTC from making use their their customers have the best handset experience possible. Sprint has announced that it has begun rolling out a small software update which squashes a few bugs and improves the functionality on BlinkFeed. The 1.29.651.10 software version keeps the same Android 4.1.2 build with HTC Sense 5.0, but it sounds like HTC has some significant changes coming with Android 4.2.

Sprint will roll out the update to the HTC One in phases, but you can skip to the front of the line by manually pinging the update servers. Go to Settings > System updates > HTC software update > Check now and you’ll be prompted to download and install the 1.29.651.10 software update on your Sprint HTC One.

  • BlinkFeed improvements
  • New Sprint Zone client
  • Improved Back and Home key sensitivity

We’d also like to mention that Sprint has enabled Google Wallet support for the HTC One. Sprint is the only US service provider who is actively supporting Google’s mobile payment platforms. T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T has working on developing Isis which can only be used in Austin and Salt Lake city at the moment.
