HTC One production doubles in May as component supply issues continue to improve

During a press event announcing HTC’s sponsorship of Cirque du Soleil’s new show, Jack Tong, president of HTC North Asia, revealed that HTC One supply shortages may soon be a thing of the past. HTC will double its HTC One production in the month of May due to improvements in yield rates of components used to manufacture the HTC One. Since HTC has not released any numbers, it’s impossible to know how many HTC One units will be rolling off the production line in May.

“Our capacity is expected to rise significantly starting from mid-May. We are optimistic about our high-end sales during April and June.”

So far, technology enthusiasts seems to agree that the HTC One is the best smartphone currently on the market, but the device’s success is dependent on HTC’s marketing budget which will be needed to increase awareness of the device among general consumers.
