HTC One Developer Edition software update rolling out now

HTC has released a software update for the HTC One Developer Edition. Before you get too carried away, this is not the fabled Android 4.2 update for the HTC One. The 1.29.1540.16 software update weighs in at 17.14 MB, but we’re not exactly sure what changes or bug fixes are included in it. We can assume that this update includes the same BlinkFeed improvements and capacitive button sensitivity tweaks that were delivered with the 1.29.651.10 software update for the Sprint HTC One which started rolling out last week.

The HTC One Developer Edition software update will gradually roll out to handsets over the next week or two , but you can skip to the front of the line by manually pinging the update servers. Go to Settings > About > Software update > Check now. If you notice any other improvements on the device, be sure to leave us a comment below. We’ll be keeping an eye out for the official changelog and will add it to the post whenever it’s made available.
