The Award-Winning New HTC One Is Enterprise Ready

The New HTC One Blends Groundbreaking Smartphone Innovations With Productivity Features, Mobile Device Management Solutions and Government-Grade Security

BELLEVUE, Wash. – May 23, 2013 – HTC Corporation, a global leader in mobile innovation and design, today announced the new HTC One® as its first HTCpro Certified device in the United States. The award-winning and critically acclaimed new HTC One is designed to exceed the expectations of business customers while offering secure, flexible solutions to IT managers seeking to integrate the HTC One into their workplace. As the first HTCproCertified device in the U.S., the new HTC One delivers mobile enterprise features including level-one government-grade security, flexible mobile device management (MDM) solutions and an array of HTC Sense®-enabled productivity capabilities.

“Customers want the freedom to choose the device they use on the job, and companies want to know that devices brought into the workplace are enterprise ready,” said David Jaeger, executive director, HTCpro, HTC Corporation. “As the first HTCpro Certified device available in the U.S., the critically acclaimed HTC One delivers style and substance with industry-leading innovations and enterprise-ready solutions that meet today’s demanding needs for everything work and life throws at you.”

Premium Design Meets Security

The new HTC One pairs stunning design with one of the highest security standards available in the market today. Wrapped in a distinct, zero-gap, aluminum unibody, the new HTC One incorporates Federal Information Processing Standard 140-2 certification and advanced 256-bit encryption. Data is further protected through secure network connectivity via virtual private network (VPN) functionality, and in the future HTCpro Certified devices will offer multiheaded Internet Protocol Security VPN support from Mocana.

Enhanced security on the HTC One also makes it possible to implement secure password policies and lock-out device functions. Password policies can be enforced through password length and complexity controls, and in the case of device loss, data can be wiped remotely.

Leading Mobile Device Management Solutions

MDM application programming interfaces on the new HTC One deliver robust options for securing, configuring, managing and auditing data on your mobile device. HTCpro partnered with premiere, enterprise-preferred MDM vendors in the industry — including AirWatchMobileIron and numerous others— to offer business customers and IT managers access to the top-tier mobile security and management controls. Through these partnerships, the new HTC One delivers access to leading mobility options and the flexibility to accommodate carrier partner MDM solutions to meet employee and company needs.

Refined Mobile Productivity

Featuring new HTC Sense innovations, including HTC BlinkFeed, HTC Zoe, HTC BoomSound and HTC Sense TV, the HTC One has redefined the mobile experience and set a new standard for smartphones. Additional HTC Sense-enabled features on the HTC One support personal productivity and enterprise-level business needs. Built-in task management applications allow users to sync while working on the go, create tasks from email, and view and edit documents in popular formats. Enhanced email and calendar functions enable threaded email messages, filtered email searches, HTML rendering, multiple email and calendar support, and cross-time-zone scheduling. Business customers will appreciate capabilities enabled through Wi-Fi connectivity including Wi-Fi sharing, the ability to share a data connection with other Wi-Fi-enabled devices and the ability to print directly to Wi-Fi printers from email, calendar, photos, contacts and even the Web browser.
