HTC states HTC One ‘will not be available on the Verizon network’

When the HTC One was unveiled, Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T all chimed in to let consumers know that they will be offering the phone this spring. While Verizon hasn’t ever claimed that the HTC One would not be available on its network, HTC has made an unofficial comment on the situation via Twitter in response to a tween regarding the phone’s availability on Verizon.

@cizzlen The HTC One will not be available on the Verizon network, but have you seen the awesome, #DROIDDNA?

Many have speculated that the HTC made Droid DNA is the reason Verizon chose not to pick up the HTC One. Originally, the two devices were expected to chase many of the same internal components, but the HTC One’s Qualcomm 600 processor, Ultrapixel camera and stereo front-facing speakers easily outclass Verizon Droid DNA. HTC’s tweet has since been deleted, but it’s clear that the HTC One, at least in its current form, will not be heading to Verizon. We are not completely convinced that Verizon will be sitting on the sidelines while the other big three service providers offer the HTC One to their customers.

  1. First they skip out on the One X and now this – Verizon, you’re doing it wrong. If I wanted a Droid DNA, I would have a Droid DNA. I don’t have a Droid DNA. I guess my wait continues for an HTC with high end specs that doesn’t take over my hand.

  2. Are you kidding me? This tweet was 2+ months ago! So much has happened since then…for this idiot author to not check any updated sources (in the past 70 days!) further damages his credibility…
