HTC One delay will not effect retail availability dates in the U.S.

A few hours ago, news broke that the retail availability of the HTC One has been official pushed back. While pre-orders of the global HTC One will start shipping to consumers before the end of March, most people should not expect to see the HTC One show up in retail stores until sometime in April. To get a little more clarification on the issue, we reached out to our friend at HTC. While their response was, brief  they have assured us that the comment regarding the delays does not apply to U.S. HTC One debut which is expected to kick off before the end of March.

“The statement doesn’t apply to US models. The US carriers are on a separate timeline”

If you are planning on picking up the HTC One from T-Mobile, Sprint or AT&T, we suggest you sign up for the HTC One Upgrade Promotion which guarantees you’ll get at least $100 back if you purchase the HTC One before the end of March and trade in your old phone.

  1. Thanks for this update! I think I might pester my local Best Buy tomorrow about the possibility of per-ordering anyway *grin*
