Exclusive: HTC M7 initial U.S. launch partners to include T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T – Verizon launch delayed

For months, we’ve been hearing that the upcoming HTC M7 would be the first HTC device to launch on all four major U.S. carriers since the HTC Tilt 2. We’ve heard descriptions of a Sprint branded device and seen evidence to suggest that the M7 would also be heading to Verizon and AT&T.

According to one of our most trusted sources, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint will launch partners for the HTC M7 in the U.S. market. While there are details that show a Verizon variant of the phone is in the works, our source claims that the launch of the Verizon HTC M7 will be delayed. Our source was not able to elaborate on why Verizon is delaying its launch of the M7, but we have a feeling that they may want to put some distance between the M7 and the HTC Droid DNA since the two devices are so closely related.

Based on previous details from a different source, we expect the HTC M7 to go on sale in Europe on March 8th. The roll-out of the HTC M7 on AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint will most likely follow a few weeks later. Hopefully, HTC will lay out all of the HTC M7 launch details at the February 19th press event in New York and London.

  1. I have always been an HTC guy but after my last two phones never getting updated I’m ready to go Samsung. I’ve been waiting for the HTC One X update and still no joy!

    1. I’m blame AT&T for that since the international One X and XL have had the update for months now. AT&T’s testing process is most likely the culprit.

  2. I have a rooted HTC One S with the AOKP 4.1.1 (Jellybean) ROM on TMo and I find it the perfect phone for me–I didn’t want the big screen and thus size of the Nexus 4, it’s thin, and it has HTC robustness. JB is such a great advance over GB and this phone does it so well I don’t see needing any upgrades during its usable life; probably take TMo another two years to have believable LTE anyway.
