HTC Droid DNA now available from Verizon

The HTC Droid DNA is now available from Verizon Wireless. Those who pre-ordered the handset should start receiving the phone today, but if you’re the type who enjoys walking into your local retail store to purchase your new phone, we’re pleased to announce that the Droid DNA is now available at Verizon stores across the country. The price of the HTC Droid DNA is set at $199.99 with a new two-year contract, but if you’re not willing to part ways with your old unlimited play from Verizon, you will probably have to pay the full $599.99 retail price.

Keep in mind that the Verizon HTC Droid DNA isn’t just for Verizon customers. The HTC Droid DNA is SIM unlocked and can be used with an AT&T and T-Mobile SIM card. AT&T customers will be treated to nation-wide HSPA data support while most T-Mobile customers will be limited to slower 2G speeds except for a few select markets. T-Mobile’s currently in the process of re-farming its HSPA network to work on 1900MHz and has already converted over a dozen markets with dozens more expected to switch over in the coming months. You can find more details on T-Mobile’s network re-farming efforts on TmoNews.

The handset’s amazing benchmark scores, unlocked bootloader and easy root access practically guarantee that the Droid DNA will have huge support within the development community. So what are you waiting for? Will you be buying the HTC Droid DNA today?
