Verizon bound Windows Phone HTC 8X passes the FCC

Good news Windows Phone fanatics! The phone you Verizon customers have been waiting for has cleared the FCC and will be heading to America’s largest LTE network in the near future.

At this point, we are following the impression given to us by Engadget that this product, A.K.A. PM23100 has the markings to classify it as the HTC 8X since the documents on the FCC site specifies Verizon’s 700MHz band plus support for international radios to keep the world phone option alive. Other documents on FCC‘s site provide further evidence that this could be the HTC 8X like the fact that my favorite chip, NFC is on board. These details closely line up with the HTC 8X making the claim very believable.

We are eagerly awaiting the release of this phone and chances are that you are as well. Given the fact that Nokia’s flagship phone is heading to AT&T exclusively, Verizon version of the HTC 8X should do rather well. Check out the specs on HTC’s hot new Windows Phone and pull out your wallets!

Pricing and details about when we can get our hands on this phone are not available yet, but we hope to know more later this month at Microsoft’s launch party or by way of tipsters out there (could be you). Drop us a tip if you have one, tips@htcsource.com and we will give you credit if we cover your tip.
