HTC to begin Android 4.1 rollout for HTC One X/XL in October?
We have not year seen any leaked Android 4.1 builds for the HTC One X or One XL (AT&T’s HTC One X), but that doesn’t mean much. According to Paul O’Brien from MoDaCo, HTC will start pushing out the Jelly Bean update to its unlocked devices starting in October and plans to have the software update pushed out to all variants of the handsets (that includes carrier branded phones) before Christmas.
According to Google, HTC and other OEMs have had their hands on the Android 4.1 PDK since before the software was unveiled in late June. As of now, there’s no word on when the HTC One S will be getting its Android 4.1 update. Since the HTC One XL and HTC One S share many of the same internal components, we’re hoping the software update for the One S will show up a few weeks after the One X updates are under way.
As soon as we get more news regarding HTC’s Android 4.1 roll-out plans, we’ll be sure to let you know.

Any chance of the HTC Sensation 4g w/ tmobile to get jellybean?

Sounds great but I think I will still wait for the rumoured One X+ or whatever 5″ HTC has planned before I upgrade from my humble (and ISC laggy) Incredible S

Not a day too soon. Glad I gave up carrier branded phones long ago.

Why is the One S always getting neglected. It’s right up there with the top phones available. The US model still hasn’t even received 4.0.4.
