CyanogenMod 10 nightlies now available for the HTC One X, One S and EVO 4G LTE

HTC is working on its Android 4.1 update for its latest flagship devices, but we know many of you simply can’t wait for an official update. Fortunately, the CyanogenMod team has just added the HTC One X, HTC One S and HTC EVO 4G LTE to its official CM10 nightlies list – giving handset owners the ability to test the latest build.

While it may sound appealing to get your handset on Jelly Bean a little early, CyanogenMod nightlies are typicality not intended for the general public since they are test builds and often have quite few bug which could keep you from using your phone as you typically would. We suggest you make a fully system backup before flashing any new ROM just in case you want to get back to an OS that works as advertised.

Hopefully HTC will have an official Android 4.1 build for us in the near future. We know CyanogenMod is a completely different experience than what HTC offers with Sense 4.0, but we’re pretty sure most users want to keep HTC’s camera functionality even if they have to put up with a skinned UI and custom applications.

  1. For the international readers, that’s the dual core One XL (evita), not the quad core One X (endeavoru).
