HTC One S and HTC One XL Android 4.1 updates already in the works

Immediately following Google’s unveiling of Android 4.1, HTC sent out their standard statement indicating that their software engineers are looking at all the new features and that supported devices and an update schedule would be announced at a future date. While it’s easy to assume that HTC will be pushing out the Android 4.1 update to the HTC One S and One X, a new entry Telstra’s smartphone software update page has officially confirmed that the Jelly Bean updates for the HTC one S and HTC One XL (Qualcomm S4 powered HTC One X – aka AT&T HTC One X) are currently being prepped by HTC.

The software update for the two phones has not yet been submitted to Telstra for testing, but we have a feeling that things will move pretty quickly. HTC was the first OEM to deliver an Android 4.0 update and we suspect they will want to be the first out of the gate with Android 4.1 as well.

How long do you think it’ll take HTC to push out the first Android 4.1 update?
