The HTC made DROID Incredible 4G LTE is a great phone, but it’s certainly not on par with HTC’s One series of devices. Thos still hoping Verizon will launch a One branded device in the near future may be disappointed to hear that there is currently nothing in the works. Jeff Gordon from HTC recently spoke with PC MAG, saying “Verizon is not going to be carrying either of the HTC One devices currently announced.” While Jeff’s comment may be a disappointment to many, that does not mean Verizon will be completely out of the mix in the future.
We originally assumed that the DROID Incredible 4G featured most of the same specifications found in the HTC One series, but PC MAG claims that Verizon opted to use a different Qualcomm processor rather than under-clocking the same chip which HTC is using in its other devices. Another difference which may affect the public decision to buy the DROID Incredible 4G LTE is that it lacks HTC’s ImageChip which is embedded in the HTC One phones and also the HTC EVO 4G LTE.
According to HTC’s press release and handset spec sheet, the DROID Incredible 4G LTE will feature an 8 megapixel camera with BSI sensor, 28mm f2.2 lens and the ability to capture pictures while recording video. We’re not sure how much the ImageChip will affect the quality of the pictures produced by the Incredible 4G LTE, but we’ll be sure to do compare shots as soon as we got our hands on the device.
We understand that Verizon and other carriers want to differentiate their products from their competitors, but Verizon’s tampering of the DROID Incredible 4G LTE has made it the least desirable new HTC phone this year.

Being a Verizon customer myself, when I saw this I was disappointed. I’m impressed with the HTC One and was hoping to upgrade to it when I can receive my upgrade.
I’m a Verizon cusomer that has been in the upgrade window for a few months now waiting for a Verizon version of the One series. Maybe I will just switch to AT&T.
Verizon’s innovation capacity seems to be expended completely on devising new ways to squeeze $ out of their customers.
Count me among the very disappointed. When I first read about the Incredible 4G LTE, I was very excited, as I was a first-gen Incredible user. I dropped my phone and cracked the screen a couple months ago, and have been eagerly anticipating the release of the new Incredible. Not anymore. It seems that HTC originally planned for this phone to be as good or even better than the One, but Verizon ruined it. Looks like I may be converting to an iPhone 5 when it comes out if it is 4G. Maybe that was Verizon’s plan all along, that they didn’t want a superior phone taking sales away from the iPhone when it is released.
HTC Android 4G sets are the best mobile phones. I am using HTC 4g droid phome. working awesome.
