Rumor: AT&T HTC One X set for next week – launch date and price to be revealed tomorrow

According to the latest rumor, AT&T may announce pricing and availability details for the HTC One X as early as tomorrow. AT&T’s launch of the HTC One X is said to follow the announcement by 5 to 7 days. The price of AT&T’s HTC One X is still unknown at this time, but we don’t expect AT&T will charge any more than $199 since that’s the price tag Sprint has already committed to with the HTC EVO 4G LTE which is a slightly better equipped handset.

If AT&T does announce the HTC One X tomorrow and launch it early next week, they will beat T-Mobile to the punch line. T-Mobile is expected to reveals their launch details for the HTC One S at a New York press event on Wednesday afternoon and leaked images of T-Mobile’s internal computer systems show that the phone is expected to be available to consumers on May 25th.

AT&T and T-Mobile may be locked in a head-to-head battle for consumer mindshare over the HTC One, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. We expect AT&T and T-Mobile to heavily promote the HTC One X and HTC One S, showing the public how great each phone really is. We’re not sure how many consumers will ditch their current service provider to grab either of these phones, but we could see a lot of people ditching their older Samsung Galaxy S phone to pick up a new HTC One.

  1. Really wish Samsung would hurry up and let us know whats going on with the Galaxy S3, if not I’m gonna have to get the One X and hope Samsung doesn’t bring something out a few weeks after that is better, like a phone with a SD card slot… 🙂

As for, ” HTC EVO 4G LTE which is a slightly better equipped handset.” Too bad Sprint has destroyed the awesome looks of the One X by “better equipping” it.
