HTC Rezound price cut to $50 with Android 4.0.3 update scheduled for later this week

Looking for an excuse to by the HTC Rezound or simply don’t want to wait around for the HTC DROID Incredible 4G? Verizon has lowered the price of the HTC Rezound to just $49.99 with a new two year contract! That means you can get a dual-core processor, 4.3-inch 720p HD display, 8 megapixel camera and a pair of $100 Beat by Dr. Dre headphones for less than the cost of a tank of gas.

We don’t know how long the sale will last, but Verizon couldn’t have planned the timing any better since the HTC Rezound is expected to receive its long-awaited Android 4.0.3 update with HTC Sense 3.6 by the end of this week. The system update delivers all the Ice Cream Sandwich goodies that you have all been waiting for and should improve system performance and battery life.

  1. I have had a Rezound since December, knowing that it would eventually get ICS was one of the reasons I bought it, so I’m glad the update is finally here! The Rezound takes great digital-camera quality photos and HD videos, even in low-light. Even in the Gingerbread ROM, HTC has built in all kinds of helpful stuff like power saving modes, widgets and a great Facebook app. Rezound’s 720 p screen is great for watching videos on netflix and hulu. The speaker is a little underpowered but the Beats headphones make music sound awesome. Games like Riptide GP and Grand Theft Auto look great thanks to the Snapdragon graphics. A great phone, if you’ve been wanting one, don’t miss this deal!

  2. Just thought I’d let yall know I have not yet received an OTA update on my Rezound today (4/6). Still crossing my fingers.
