HTCdev releases Android 4.0 kernel source for HTC Sensation, Sensation XE, and Vivid
The Android 4.0 update for the HTC Sensation, Sensation XE and Vivid have been out in the wild for a few weeks now, so HTC has decided to release the Ice Cream Sandwich kernel source for all three devices. Those to stick to official updated from HTC and your carriers will not get much use out of the new source code, but those who flash custom ROMs to your devices should see a lot of this code included in updated ROMs in the days and weeks to come. The development community has been asking for the source since the first Android 4.0 update was pushed out.
We expect HTC to release Ice Cream Sandwich kernel source for more HTC devices as they continue to push out the Android 4.0 update to more devices in the coming weeks. The T-Mobile HTC Sensation 4G is expected to receive the update before the end of March and the Sensation XL should be next in line.
Based on what we’ve seen so far, are you excited to receive the Android 4.0 update with HTC Sense 3.6 for your HTC device?
