The HTC Media Link HD has just made its way through the FCC and may soon be available at retailers in North America. The Media Link HD allows users to mirror content from the HTC One X and HTC One S in 1080p over 802.11n. While it may sound very similar to the HTC Media Link from last year, the new version features advanced functionality which allows the user to interact with the phone while streaming content to a secondary display. HTCdev recently released a Media Link HD API which developers will be able to integrate into their apps and games.
HTC has not announced an official price for the HTC Media Link HD, but online retailers are already listing the HTC One accessory for £66.66 (roughly $105). The price may seem a bit steep, but it’s definitely a much better option than an HDMI dock which would require you to give up control of your phone.
Do any of you plan on buying the HTC Media Link HD once you get your hands on the HTC One this spring?
