Unlocked GSM HTC Evo 3D on sale for £229.00

We’re only about ten days out from Mobile World Congress and the unveiling of HTC’s 2012 lineup, but if you don’t have a huge amount of cash on hands and simply can’t wait for the next generation of HTC handsets to come out, we suggest you check out the unlocked GSM HTC EVO 3D which just went on sale at ASDA direct.

When the HTC EVO 3D originally launched in the UK last summer, retailers were charging over £500.00 for the handset, but the newly announced sale drops the price to an astonishingly low £229.00 which converts to $360. Subtract the UK’s 20% VAT (value added tax0 which is included in the listed price and you could buy the HTC EVO 3D for as little at $300. Not a bad deal considering that Sprint is still listing the phone at $99 with a two year contract.

The unlocked GSM HTC EVO 3D will work on T-Mobile and AT&T’s GSM networks just fine, but if you want to take advantage of the handset’s 3G speeds, you will be limited only to AT&T. Is $300 for a contract-free HTC EVO 3D a good deal or would you rather wait a few more months so you can buy HTC’s next-generation devices?

  1. Actually, I think the reporter has this backwards. Its reported that there are three versions of the EVO 3D (or 3VO as fans call them.) Of the two GSM models, the 515A (Rodgers Cable Ca) will work with AT&T 3G and the 515M will work with T-Mobile. The difference is in the 3/4G triband radio. T-Moble uses 1700/2100 in the US.
