New in-the-wild pictures of the HTC One S

New in-the-wild pictures of the HTC One S have just surfaced. While we’ve seen pictures and renderings of the device before, this may be the first time that we’ve seeing the final design of HTC’s new handset. The new pictures of the One S come to us via ITProPortal who actually claims the pictures are of the One S and the One X. Unfortunately; we believe that one of their sources may be a little misinformed about the handset name since there are too many similarities between the pictures (they actually look identical) for them to be two different devices.

Since the pictures they posted of the HTC One S and HTC One X look identical, we suspect that they are simply images of the HTC One S. The main difference between these new pictures of the HTC One S and previous renderings is the speaker grill above the screen.  It looks like HTC has changed things up a little buy removing the traditional grill completely and replacing it will perforations in the uni-body aluminum shell.

Take a look at the gallery below and let us know what you think of the new pictures of the HTC One S. Do you notice any differences between the images with the wood background and the lighter background which would lead you to believe that they are two different handsets? The HTC One S isn’t going to be the thinnest phone on the market, but the 8mm thick body is certainly looks a lot slimmer than the HTC Sensation which HTC released last year.

  1. I much prefer the new design, and I do hope that it is indeed the S as opposed to the X as I’m not much of a Tegra 3 fan. I suppose we’ll know rather soon though, eh? 🙂
