HTC Sensation and Sensation XE Android 4.0 test build now available

European HTC Sensation and Sensation XE owners can now grab the “early access preview” of Android 4.0. HTC’s plan was to send out the preview to a select few (a couple hundred) udders in Europe to make sure things were in order before releasing the update to everyone. But as we expected, the update fell into the hands of at least one individual who then decided to share it with the world.

The Android 4.0 build for the HTC Sensation and HTC Sensation XE can be found on InsertCoin’s website, but we urge you only to flash the update to your handset if you know exactly what you are doing. We take no responsibility if the software causes any damage to your phone.

We’re keeping a close eye on XDA-Developers and other forums since we expect to see the Android 4.0 update for the Sensation ported to other devices in the next few days. It didn’t take long for the leaked HTC One X build to be ported over to the Sensation, so we imagine the first ports could show up by this weekend.

Will you be flashing the early access preview to your European HTC Sensation or will you wait a few more weeks until the official Android 4.0 update is released to the public?

  1. Yeah I am waiting. If it were six months I would consider it, but as it is only a beta version anyway, may as well just wait a few weeks.
