HTC launches official company blog with a little Mobile World Congress tease

We’re not exactly sure how we missed this, but HTC has launched an official company blog! The first blog entry is from February 23, introducing the new blog and detailing its scope. If you’re hoping for the inside scoop on upcoming new devices, the official HTC blog is probably not the place to go, but their introductory post notes that they will be focusing on the design of new devices, Beats Audio, handset features and “what’s going on inside HTC.”

Currently there are five authors listed on the blog:

  • Darren Krape, Global Community Manager
  • Jason Dunn, Global Community Manager
  • John Starkweather, WW Director of Digital Marketing
  • Larry Meadows, Managing Editor, HTC Blogs
  • Leigh Momii, Developer Evangelist

We don’t have super close ties to HTC, but we’re heard a few of the names in passing. We’re definitely looking forward to their blog posts and getting to know them and their work a bit more.

The second post on the HTC blog went up today, giving us a little sneak peek at the setup that’s currently under way in Barcelona for HTC’s press event on Sunday night along with an image which shows a box full of  54 bubble-wrapped devices (yet, we counted). There’ no indication as to what’s safely protected within the bubble-wrap, but we have a feeling that we’ll find out in less than 48 hours.
