AT&T HTC Titan II unveiled as the worlds first 4G LTE Windows Phone

Today at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show, HTC unveiled the HTC Titan II.  This will be HTC’s first Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) device to run on AT&T’s 4G LTE.  This new phone is also anticipated to be exclusive to AT&T in the U.S. The HTC Titan II is driven by a powerful Qualcomm’s 1.5 GHz Snapdragon™ S2 processor.  This speedy processor companion-ed with a 1,730mAh battery will allow the user the browse the web, stream media, and download files quickly.

The 4.7-inch super LCD screen and HTC Watch app provides users with a great way to watch movies and TV shows while on the go.  Those preferring to game will not be disappointed either as HTC is including the XBox Live app preloaded.

The camera on the new HTC Titan II offers an unprecedented 16-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.6 wide-angle lens, autofocus, dual LED flash, red eye reduction, image stabilization and a backside-illuminated sensor.  Video chat is possible using the 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.  The Titan II also delivers 720p video recording capabilities for those of you that prefer family movies to family pictures.

The Live Tile display provides a centralized location on the homescreen for news and social network updates.  Business users will appreciate the updated Windows Phone Office Hub and improved integration with Microsoft Exchange 2010 and Outlook Mobile.  In addition, there will be many HTC exclusive apps available through the HTC Hub inside the Windows Marketplace.

AT&T has not released any pricing details, but they were kind enough to announce that the HTC Titan II would be available “in the coming month.” We’re hoping to get some hands-on time with the HTC titan II this evening. Stay tuned for more pictures and our initial thoughts on the world’s first 4G LTE Windows Phone.

The Titan II looks like a great start for HTC in 2012!  I’m looking forward to see what else HTC will bring to CES this year.
