T-Mobile’s HTC Amaze 4G versus the iPhone 4S: battle of the cameras

HTC Amaze 4G camera versus iPhone 4S camera

HTC has really stepped up its game in the past few months, delivering phones that take some pretty amazing shots. We knew that HTC was going to be focusing on cameras when they announced the HTC Sensation and the EVO 3D in the first half of the year, but things got even better with the introduction of the T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide with its 8 megapixel backlit imaging sensor and f2.2 lens.

Since then, HTC has rolled out the same camera tech on the HTC Amaze 4G and the HTC Rezound which are both rated as some of the best Android camera phones currently on the market.  But how does HTC’s new camera technology compare to what Apple’s put together for the iPhone 4S? Many say that the two technologies are pretty similar, but T-Mobile thought it would be interesting to pit the two in a head to head battle to show which one has more features available for consumers.

We have to say that the video is very entertaining, but we’re not convinced that consumers really understand HTC’s new camera features based on what they put together here.  If you have a friend with an iPhone 4S who won’t shut up about his new phone, just send him a link to the video and see what he has to say.

Do you think HTC’s on the right track with their camera technology on their phones? What new features should HTC work on next with HTC Sense 4.0 and Ice Cream Sandwich?
