HTC Flyer price reduced to $99 at Best Buy, digital pen only $39

HTC Flyer price reduced to $99 at Best Buy, digital pen only $39

[box_dark]UPDATE: It looks like the $99 HTC Flyer deal was too good to be true.  We’ve received a few reports that Best Buy is calling this a misprint and will not be honoring the $99 price which they listed on their website.  The HTC Flyer page has been taken down for now and will probably reappear with the $299 price. However, the HTC Flyer digital pen is still available for $39. [/box_dark]Anyone who didn’t take advantage of last week’s price drop on the HTC Flyer may want to reconsider their decision.  Best Buy has just slashed the price of the HTC Flyer again from $299 to $99. We’re not sure why HTC and Best Buy are looking to burn through their inventory so quickly, but the plan is certainly working. Best Buy’s website is already sold out of the HTC Flyer, so your best chance of picking one up is to camp out in front of your local Best Buy store and hope they have a few left in stock.

This time around, Best Buy’s price reduction frenzy has also managed to reduce the price of the HTC Flyer’s digital pen to $39.99.  We always thought that $80 for the pen accessory was a bit steep, but combine the Flyer’s $99 price with a $39 pen and you have yourself one of the best deals around.

Anyone who purchased the HTC Flyer within the past few weeks should be able get the $99 new price match.  We have not been able to get in contact with anyone from Best Buy yet, but they have always been really good at reimbursing customers when products go on sale.

How many of you are going to rush out to Best Buy to grab the $99 HTC Flyer?

As soon as I heard this I checked inventory at all the Best Buy’s within a 20 mile radius. None available…

So I checked where my parents live to see if they would pick a couple up for me. There was one store that had them in stock. I called the Best Buy and they did verify they had some in stock, however… it turns out it was an error in pricing online (bestbuy.com has pulled the $99 pricing as well). Stores are not selling them at $99, but rather the $299 price.

I confirmed this with my local Best Buy, who indeed had one in stock, but at the $299 price.

    Too good to be true.
