Leaked RUU and pictures give us a closer look at the HTC Vigor

With the official unveiling of the HTC Rhyme out of the way, maybe Verizon and HTC can finally focus on the HTC Vigor.   Most of the rumored specs that have been floating around for the past few months have now been confirmed through a leaked RUU for the HTC Vigor.  We now know for sure that the Vigor’s spec sheet includes a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch 1280 x 720 720p HD display, 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video recording on the back, front-facing 2 megapixel camera for video calling, Android 2.3.4, HTC Sense 3.5, 1 GB of RAM Beats Audio, and support for Verizon’s 4G LTE network.

The HTC Vigor has been caught on camera in the past, but this time around we have pictures which give us a detailed look at the phone from every angle.  As we mentioned in the past, the Vigor features many of the same physical aesthetics as the HTC DROID Incredible 2 – contoured rubberized body which highlights the interior components of the phone.

The release date, price and official name of the phone are still a mystery at this point.  There have been rumors that the Vigor could launch as the HTC DROID Incredible HD or the HTC Rezound.  Since both names match HTC’s naming schemes, we’d not ready to make a judgment call at this point.

What we do know is that the HTC Vigor will be the most powerful phone on Verizon’s network when it launches this fall.  Let’s just hope that it comes soon and that Verizon doesn’t slap a $300 price tag on it.
