HTC Runnymede leaked document reveals price and more details

The HTC Runnymede is back and better than ever!  A new leaked document shows that the phone will actually be called the Runnymede 2 (not really sure what happened to the Runnymede 1) and shows that the handset will be priced at £499 and £530 depending on how much internal storage you’re willing to pay for (16GB or 32GB). No carriers have been announced yet, but the document does show the HTC Runnymede price for the 16GB model will be reduced to free with a £40/month 2 year contract and the 32GB model can be yours for £49 with the same contract.

Since the specs on the HTC Runnymede 2 are nearly identical to those of the HTC Titan, we’re not surprised to see that the phones look very similar.  The document reveals that the phone will come in white and will feature a 9.9mm unibody aluminum design, 4.7-inch display (800 x 480), 1.5 GHz processor 768MB of RAM and a respectable 1,600 mAh battery.  The camera on the HTC Runnymede will feature an 8 megapixel back-lit imaging sensor with a 28mm F2.2 wide angle lens and will capture 720p HD video at 60 frames per second.

The price of the HTC Runnymede 2 may seem a bit high for a single-core phone, but let’s not forget that it’ll be paired with a set of Beats headphones – the Beats Solo to be exact.  Subtract £135 for the Beats Solo and you’re left with a price tag of only £344 for the HTC Runnymede 2.
