HTC Ruby to launch as the T-Mobile HTC Amaze 4G

Now that we have the official launch date for the HTC Ruby, wouldn’t be nice to ditch the code name? If the latest rumors turn out to be true, the HTC Ruby will launch at the T-Mobile HTC Amaze 4G. Since the specs on the HTC Amaze 4G are slightly better than those on the HTC Sensation 4G, the name of the phone simply had to be a little more amazing than sensational.  In addition to the new name, we’ve also learner that the HTC Amaze 4G radio chip will support data speeds up to 42Mbps.

There’s certainly been a lot of news about the HTC Ruby (OK, we’re just not used to calling it the HTC Amaze 4G quite yet) over the past few days so we thought’s we’d sort everything out and give you all the details in one spot.  Here we go.

The HTC Ruby is now known as the T-Mobile HTC Amaze 4G.  The HTC Amaze 4G is expected to launch on T-Mobile on October 26th.  The HTC Amaze 4G specs include a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 4.3-inch qHD display, 1GB RAM, 8 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, dedicated video and camera shutter buttons, Android 2.3.4, HTC Sense 3.0, and support for T-Mobile’s 4G network with maximum theoretical speeds reaching 42Mbps.  We’re pretty sure we’ll be getting more news about the HTC Amaze 4G in the coming weeks and months, but most the details about the phone have already been revealed.  The only thing left for us to find out is the price T-Mobile will be charging for the HTC Amaze 4G.
