HTC Puccini unveiling set for September 1st?

The launch of the HTC Puccini could be getting close.  Reports have been coming in all morning that HTC has sent out invitations to members of the press for an event on September 1st.  The invitations themselves do not reveal any details about what HTC will be unveiling at the event, but since there are no major HTC handsets coming down the pipeline, it’s pretty safe to assume that the HTC Puccini will be taking center stage at the event.  Previous rumors and reports pegged the launch or unveiling of the HTC Puccini for mid-August.

Specs on the HTC Puccini include a 10.1 inch display, dual-core Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm clocked somewhere between 1.2 – 1.5 GHz, 8 megapixel camera and dual-LED flash on the back, front-facing camera on the front, and support for the HTC Digital Pen with HTC Scribe and Android 3.x (Honeycomb).

I’ve read about 8 new HTC smartphones coming out this third quarter. How true is it going to be? and Is the HTC Puccini really going to be there?
It’s going to be an exciting month for HTC fans out there. Please give us some news soon.

    Thank you :)
