First look at HTC Sense 3.5 on the HTC Bliss

Want to see what HTC has been working on lately?  HTC Sense 3.5 just made its first appearance courtesy of a few screenshot from the HTC Bliss.  The latest version of Sense looks very similar to what HTC whipped up for the HTC Sensation and EVO 3D.  That’s certainly good news for those with older phones since the HTC Bliss is powered by a single-core processor.  HTC claimed that Sense 3.0 was simply too much to handle for handsets not running dual-core processors.

While the widgets and unlock screen on Sense 3.5 look very similar to those in 3.0, the app launcher and app drawer look have a completely new look to them.  HTC has chosen to use do away with the bar across the bottom of the screen and has simply replaced is with a button for your application and another phone for the phone dialer. Changes within the app drawer are a little more subtle, mostly characterized by a different graphical texture which is a pleasant departure from the glossy UI elements of the past.

HTC probably won’t be back-porting HTC Sense 3.5 to their older single-core phones, but we can guarantee that ROM developers will have it ported to the HTC Desire HD, Desire Z and most of the other HTC phones that have launched in the past 12 months.  What do you think about the new look of HTC Sense 3.5?
