Amazon reveals HTC Chacha and HTC Salsa launch date and price

Looking for a phone will a little more Facebook integration?  The HTC Chacha and HTC Salsa may be exactly what you need.   Amazon has just launched pre-order pages for both handsets, revealing a June 26th launch date.  The HTC Chacha will be selling for £250 ($409) while the HTC Salsa will be slightly more expensive at £320 ($524).  The price of the HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa should drop to a nicely rounded zero for anyone willing to pick either of their Facebook Phones up with a carrier subsidy and qualifying 2 year contract.

While the form factors for the HTC Salsa (HTC Salsa specs) and Chacha (HTC Chacha specs) are quite different, their internal specs are nearly identical. Both handset are powered by a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processors and 512MB of RAM and are running on Android layers with a modified version of HTC Sense which features deep Facebook integration.

There’s still no word from AT&T or HTC as to when they plan on launching these two phone in the U.S. market.  Our guess is that it’ll be mid to late July before you’ll be able to spot one at your local AT&T store.
