Windows Phone 7 has gotten over it’s first major hurdle, with a cough and a splutter. The update process, went rather poorly, but there’s no point dwelling on that now. As surprising as it is, not all carriers have delivered all of the current updates to WP7 handsets on their Networks. The HTC Arrive on Sprint, shipped with the .7389 NoDo ROM, but will have to wait till May 24 to get that final bump up to the 7.0.7392 update. It’s a fairly minor update, primarily addressing some fraudulent SSL certificates. As that’s actually what has been dubbed the May update, it seems Sprint is moving at a decent pace pushing out updates. As WPCentral reports it
In other words, don’t expect any new functionality. However, it also looks to bump the bootloader to version 1.29.651.02 (currently it’s at 1.24.230506), so who knows if that will bring anything new (we’re not betting on it).
While there are some residual updates to still roll out, most people now are starting to look to what’s in the next update, and when they’ll get it. Via Spantechular
