Verizon leaks the Droid Incredible 2!

While this has been rumoured for a while, it looks like the Droid 2 is going to launch on the Verizon network in the US. It’s a bump up from the original Droid, though probably not the dual core update that most of us would expect. It also does not have support for 4G, but is more oriented to international travellers that want a phone that they can use anywhere. It’s not too shabby in the specs department though.

Including dual cameras (8 and 1.3MP) and DLNA connectivity, both GSM and CDMA radios. It also loses the AMOLED screen of the previous model, opting instead for a larger 4-inch WVGA TFT display. Other internals include a 1GHz Qualcomm processor, 768 MB of RAM, Bluetooth, WiFi b/g/n, and a 1450 mAh battery.

This will be a nice addition to Verizon’s quiver of Android devices, and while higher specked, the compact form factor, will make this a desirable device.
