HTC DoubleShot heading to T-Mobile as the 4G replacement for the myTouch Slide?

We always love it when we get wind of a new HTC handset since it allows us to dream a little before we actually get all the specs. A new user agent for the HTC DoubleShot has made its way onto the web and gives us a little insight into what the new handset will offer.  The Android handset will be powered by a 1.2 GHz processor with an 800 x 480 resolution display, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and a 6+ megapixel camera with HDR capabilities.

According to our good friends over at TmoNews, the HTC DoubleShot code name matches that of a T-Mobile device which is expected to replace the myTouch 3G sometime in early July.  If that’s the case, let’s hope T-Mobile goes with a plain HTC Sense install rather than their mutilated monstrosity currently featured on the myTouch 3G Slide and myTouch 4G.  We actually think it’s a bit clever that T-Mobile and HTC are using the DoubleShot name since the original code name for the myTouch 3G Slide (which features a 600 MHz processor) was HTC Espresso.
