What is HTC up to? The countdown begins!

If you are looking for information about HTC’s new countdown for the unveiling of the HTC M7 and the five teaser videos, you will find it here.

Let the countdown begin! HTC has just shared a link on their Twitter account which points to their Facebook page. There’s no real information on the page, but we are treated to a countdown clock which is scheduled to expire at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday in Barcelona (4:30 a.m. EST, 1:30 PST a.m.).

So what are the “big things” that HTC in planning on unveiling? There have been a lot of rumors, speculation, and leaked images over the past few weeks so we thought we’d go through it all again just in case you missed something.

Among the half dozen or so devices that HTC is expected to unveil at Mobile World Congress, the HTC Saga has been spotted in the wild more than any other device. Rumors suggest that it may be HTC’s new flagship device though it may hit the streets as the HTC Desire 2.

Two other unnamed Android handsets are expected to be unveiled by HTC at MWC, but there certainly isn’t much fanfare over each. One of the devices looks to be a shoe-in as the HTC Wildfire’s replacement while other may be HTC’s new bargain-basement handset.

In the past, HTC’s WCM unveilings have only featured phones, but this year we’re expecting HTC to step out of their shell and reveal their first Android tablets. The HTC Flyer is expected to be the first Android tablet from HTC to go on sale this spring. Rumors indicate that the HTC Flyer will feature Android 2.3, a 7 inch display, front and rear facing cameras, and a single-core 1 GHz Snapdragon processor.

A second tablet from HTC is rumored to feature Android 3.0 (Honeycomb), a 10 inch display, and might even be equipped with a dual-core Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm. The name of the tablet is still up in the air. Over the past months we’ve heard the name HTC Scribe used quite a few times, but now there’s some indication that the tablet may be names the HTC Verdi.

We know may of you have been craving new information on the HTC Pyramid which is expected to the the first handset from HTC to feature the dual-core 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8260 processor, a 4.3 inch qHD display, and support for HSPA+. As much as we’d like to see HTC announce this handset at Mobile World Congress, we’ve seen no evidence to suggest that the HTC Pyramid will be unveiled before CTIA in March.

We won’t be attending HTC’s press event in Barcelona, but you can be sure we’ll be brining you as much information as possible. Only six more days until we REALLY find out what HTC is up to.
