Verizon delays HTC Thunderbolt February 14th launch plans

Things certainly aren’t looking good for the HTC Thunderbolt’s rumored launch date of February 14th.  New leaked documents show that the launch of Verizon’s first 4G LTE handset has been delayed.  Handset launch delays happen from time to time, but it’s certainly not reassuring that the Verizon does not have an ETA for when they expect the HTC Thunderbolt to launch.

Based on the leaked internal documents from HTC, it sound like the HTC Thunderbolt may be having issues with Verizon’s network.  We’re hoping that Verizon and HTC are working around the clock to get the issues resolved.  From what we’ve seen, it looks to be more of a software issue rather than a hardware of manufacturing issue.

Just remember, if you are looking for the new HTC phone for Valentine’s Day, the HTC Thunderbolt is not your only option.  AT&T will be launching the HTC Inspire 4G on February 13th and T-Mobile will be offering all their HTC handset for free from February 12-13.
