Rumor: HTC will unveil an Android phone with a dedicated Facebook button at MWC

An official Facebook Phone may never get built, but it looks like rumors of an HTC phone with dedicated Facebook enhancements seem to be coming back again.  A new report from the Financial Times now claims that HTC is working on a new Android powered device which would feature a dedicated button for Facebook.  A source familiar with HTC’s strategy claims that “It’s one of HTC’s main pushes for this year,” and that the Facebook enhanced phone will be unveiled next week at Mobile World Congress.  We’re not exactly sure how much demand there really is for a phone with a dedicated Facebook button on the front, but we’re sure HTC wouldn’t go out on a limb to create a new device like this without doing their homework.

As uninteresting (at least to us) as this sounds, we’ll be adding it to our list of rumored devices which should be unveiled at WMC in Barcelona.  One question: would any of you be interested in purchasing a phone with a few Facebook tweaks and a dedicated button?
