Introducing the HTC Incredible S, specs, images, and press release

The new HTC Incredible may not be the new flagship phone we were all waiting for, but it does have some new features which still make it an appealing handset.  HTC has kept the industrial looks of the original HTC DROID Incredible and ahs bumped up the screen size to 4 inches (800 x 480).  The HTC Incredible S features a 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon processor, with 768 MB of RM, 8 megapixel shooter with dual-led flash which is capable of shooting video in 720p, a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, and a 1450 mAh battery. As usual, the HTC Incredible S will be loaded up with HTC Sense though you may be disappointed to hear that it will only be running on Android 2.2 when the handset launches in Europe and Asia during Q2 of this year.

Since the handset isn’t much of a leak forward from the HTC devices which launched last fall, HTC has decided to stir things up a bit by changing the capacitive buttons on the front of the HTC Incredible S.  Rather than being painted on to the screen, the buttons are displayed below the surface.  This allows them to rotate with the handset and completely disappear when the screen is turned off.
