Verizon HTC Thunderbolt product page launches with feature highlights

Now that we know all the details on the upcoming Verizon HTC Thunderbolt, the only real news you guys are interested in is the price point and launch date of HTC first LTE handset. We’ve bugged the hell out of our HTC and Verizon contacts here at CES, but not one will give us answer. But what we do have for you is a short marketing piece which highlights some of the functionality that comes built into the HTC Thunderbolt. I know, it’s not exactly what you were looking for, but at least it’s better than nothing at all, right?

The interactive flash demo is found at the bottom of the HTC Thunderbolt product page on HTC’s site. They have also put up a link to Verizon’s site where you can sign up to receive an email notification once new “official” details on the HTC Thunderbolt are available.

The hope is that the Thunderbolt will hit the streets during mid Q1, but Verizon is still sticking to their “some time during the first half of 2011” statement that they gave yesterday. We did talk to some people from Skype (video calling will be available on all of Verizon’s LTE 4G handsets at launch) and they mentioned that their application would be available when the first LTE handset launched in February. We’re just not sure which phone that will be since Verizon is launching four LTE Android phones from LG, HTC Motorola, and Samsung.
