HTC shows off the Verizon HTC Thunderbolt and AT&T Inspire 4G in Rolling Stone ad

Print media is typically the last place that most of you would turn to in order to find the latest HTC news, but a new ad in the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine seems to be getting a lot of attention. HTC has purchased ad space which they have used to display their 4G handset lineup. Along with the usual suspects (HTC EVO 4G and the HTC T-Mobile G2) the ad shows of the unannounced Verizon HTC Thunderbolt and the AT&T HTC Inspire 4G.

We’ve been talking about the HTC Thunderbolt for quite some time, but the AT&T HTC Inspire 4G is essentially still a mystery. The only other time we have heard the about phone is when HTC filed to trademark the Inspire name with the USPTO back in late 2010. The handset clearly looks to be a close cousin to the HTC Desire HD and the HTC Thunderbolt, while the 4G reference makes up believe that AT&T is finally ready to slap on a 4G sticker to their HSPA+ netowrk (just as T-Mobile has done).

The hope is that both Verizon and AT&T unveil the Thunderbolt and Inspire 4G this week at CES. We’ll be spending some time with our friends from HTC tonight, so we’ll be sure to bug them for some more details on the two handsets. Sprint has already unveiled their second HTC phone fore their 4G network this week, so we’re pretty sure AT&T and Verizon are poised to strike back.

It was nice to see HTC introduce the first 4G handsets for Sprint and T-Mobile, but we’re really excited that HTC made sure that they were the first to introduce 4G handsets on all four major carriers in the U.S. Market. The line from the ad clearly says it all: “We didn’t just make the first 4G phones, we make them for everyone.”
