Official: Android 2.2 update for HTC Legend to begin rollout tomorrow

Just like the HTC Desire, it appears as though HTC is rolling out a maintenance release to the HTC Legend. But as we were gathering all our information for this post, we noticed that HTC UK posted an update to their Facebook page, announcing that HTC will begin rolling out Android 2.2 to the HTC Legend across Europe starting tomorrow, December 9th. We’re not exactly sure what’s included in the 2.05.405.2 build that is currently being rolled out, but it’s most likely just a few system tweaks to prepare the HTC Legend for tomorrow Froyo rollout.

Good news for HTC Legend users. The Android 2.2 update for the HTC Legend will begin to roll out across Europe from tomorrow. We’re looking forward to hearing your feedback.

If you are still waiting for the 2.05.405.2 build, go to Settings > About phone > System software updates on your Android and hit the Check now button as usual to install the latest firmware. Now that Android 2.2 is finally here, maybe HTC’s software engineers can start working on a tasty Gingerbread treat for the HTC Legend.
